Futurist Online is owned by web monkey Steve Johnson.
Steve is a self taught web designer and isn't tied to any particular way of working. He has worked with many clients on various web based projects ranging from static web sites, through to eCommerce sites and bespoke system designs.
Steve has been a part time web designer since 2003, going full time in April 2007. Previous to this, he has worked for numerous large blue chip and private companies such as Phones 4u, Siemens Business Services, Scotmid Co-operative, Homebase and Sainsburys.
By trade, Steve is a highly successful training professional with a history of working in high-paced, energetic organizations. He delivers a people first orientated approach to strategic and business requirements thus possessing excellent pro-active organisational and communication skills.
Born in Liverpool, Steves′ early achievements were in athletics, including 3 English Schools 1500m titles and a current UK under 18′s 4x1500m record. spending a year in Michigan, USA, as an exchange student, he gained his American High School diploma and also gained state champion status in both cross country and track & field.
With more of a creative flair, Steve has written a number of film scripts and already has a low-budget feature film under his belt. Steve is married and has a son, Ewan. He is also a promising cook, and enjoys technology, traveling and writing. Steve is the Chairperson for the Glasgow Mac User Group and a founding member of Macmacdev - a Scottish mac developer group.
